Alchemist Inthrål's Journal: Varg and Samilotte's Visit

Samilotte and Varg stopped by today. A shame, I was busy. I let them in for tea. We caught up on life; Varg's got a new ammo dealer in Tarstic, and Samilotte's still convinced he can woo Lucielle (specifically using some kind of "slip of paper bearing rich advice"). I then noticed Sam's gauntlet had a hole punched into it. I asked about it and Samilotte told me about how he wrangled away a beast or something. Varg told me there were a few gargoyles in the neighboring woods. Great. Just what I needed. First Varg brings this daffy cunt and now there might be an entire horde of Karmenic raiders following them.

Of course Sam has no clue what a Karmenic raider is.

Samilotte actually dug out one of the golem's cores. But it's dead. Great, another addition to the collection. I don't understand why people don't just use the old Hebrew method. These crystal core things never fucking last, they crack too easily. Meanwhile when you just stick a slip of paper in their mouth, they can dive down a cliff and survive. But I guess cores are just cheaper or something.

I asked Sam how things are going in Vigrau, but yet again he's acting all high and mighty. I swear I can never get a straight answer out of that fool. I told him to scrap the bullshit. Now he doesn't wanna talk to me anymore. Thank Grandfather Ulsurne.

Varg told me they're on a quest to save Antiome. He asked me if I saw a tall, rotting child, that crawled on all fours. I can't say I have. Fuck, you think it has something to do with the raiders? Maybe. Varg's actually made that connection too. Well, at least one of them has a gun.

You know what, fuck it. I'm giving Samilotte some Essence of Naårl's Great Flame. Told him not to get it everywhere like last time. I gave him a weaker dose so he wouldn't nearly murder Varg, like last time. It should be enough to give his sword enough punch to kill any gargoyles.

The Lantern was shut off again. The humans decided to get some rest. Now I finally get to get some work done.

One of the samples withered away. It contained the Strider's Descent. I've decided to burn it, I think the sigil is still active.

Should I burn it?

No. I am not burning the sample. I'm sticking it somewhere else until further notice. I don't want the rest of the samples to get contaminated.

I've already tried Harkmann's Tower and Voeanalis on the wheel, I think. How would Harkmann's Tower and the 37th Enochian Parallel go?

Spun the wheel, the director line's of the 37th Enochian isn't doing squat with the Tower. Scrapped. Fuck, I need a new Descent.

I don't have enough energy to make a new sigil.

Fuck, I'm beat. I tried dousing the 37th Enochian with demon's blood. The blood just withered away on contact. I don't know why I thought anything else would happen.

Same with human blood.

I'm too much of a pussy to try Tears of Magdolyn right now.

I'm done. I need sleep. This can wait until tomorrow.

It'd be nice to hang with Varg again, without Sam nagging along. I don't think we've had a proper date in a while.

I mean, Sam's a pain in the ass and all, but he isn't good for nothing. He actually does an alright job at defending Vigrau from what I've seen. I should give the newt more credit.

Someone's knocking on the door. Hard. It's getting harder.

Just checked out the window. Giant stone wings are blocking my view. Varg was right.

Varg's got his gun ready and Samilotte's sword is all powdered up. If anything bad happens after I open this door, hopefully this journal makes its way to Vigrau.

You continue on your travels.
